Pricing, scheduling, scope, and what our guarantee actually covers. If your question is not here, call and ask.
Scheduling & service
When we can be there, what we cover, and how booking works.
Most jobs get a real date rather than a vague window. Storm damage, a broken lock, or anything letting water into the house moves to the front of the schedule. We will tell you honestly where you land when we quote it, and we do not promise a turnaround we cannot keep.
No. Estimates are free and carry no obligation. You get flat-rate pricing in writing before any work starts, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk. That covers the Oceanfront, Sandbridge, Great Neck, Kempsville, Town Center, Red Mill, Great Bridge, Greenbrier, Deep Creek, Western Branch, Ghent, Colonial Place, Larchmont, and Ocean View. We keep the radius deliberately tight so we arrive on time and can come back quickly if anything needs a second look.
Yes. We work with a lot of military families coordinating from out of state and landlords managing rental turnover remotely. We document the job with photos and email you everything, quote, progress shots, and invoice, so you can manage it from anywhere.
Pricing & payment
How we quote, what shows up on the invoice, and how to pay.
We price per job, not per hour, so the number you are quoted is the number you pay. Small single-task visits sit at the low end, and bundling several items into one visit costs less per item than booking them separately. Send photos and rough measurements and we can usually put a firm number on it without coming out.
Yes, every job, every time. We quote the job, not the hour. You know the total before work starts, and the price we quote is the price you pay even if the job runs long on our end.
No. No trip charges, no fuel surcharges, no after-hours markup for normal scheduling. The quote you sign off on is what lands on the invoice. Materials are billed at cost and we do not mark them up.
Cash, check, and all major credit cards. We can also email a secure payment link if you are handling it remotely.
On completion. We do not ask for deposits on standard handyman work. For larger projects that need materials ordered up front, we agree a deposit structure in writing before anything starts.
Scope & honesty
What we do, and the work we refer out instead of taking on.
No. The person who quotes your job is the person doing the work. If something is outside our scope we tell you up front and refer you to a trusted local trade. We never quietly hand the job off.
New electrical circuits, panel work, repipes, gas-line work, sewer line replacement, HVAC repair or installs, roof structure, foundation work, mold remediation, asbestos abatement, and anything requiring a Virginia building permit. We can point you to a Master Plumber, Master Electrician, general contractor, or specialty trade we have worked with.
Yes. We do not work on commission and have no reason to upsell. If the right answer is a forty dollar part instead of a four hundred dollar fixture swap, that is what you will hear.
We are insured and bonded, and we stay inside the scope Virginia allows a handyman service to perform. Anything needing a master license or a permit gets referred out rather than attempted.
The guarantee
What you can hold us to after the job is done.
Yes. Every job carries our Honored Workmanship Guarantee. If something is not right after we leave, we come back and make it right. No charge, no argument, no paperwork to chase.
Anything that fails because of how we did the work: patches that do not hold, leaks at fixtures we installed, trim that pulls away, a door that binds because we did not shim it correctly. Manufacturer defects in parts fall under the manufacturer’s own coverage, which we document for you.
During the job
What to expect when we show up, and what we leave behind.
Not always. Plenty of customers leave a gate code or a lockbox and get photos when it is finished. Tell us in the estimate request how you want access handled and we will confirm it before the visit.
We stop, document it, and call you before changing anything. No extra charges are added without your explicit approval in writing.
Whenever possible, yes. Continuity matters, and you should not have to re-explain the situation to someone new.
Always. We bag debris, vacuum dust, wipe down what we touched, and haul packaging away with us. The work area should look better than we found it.
